Ben Visser club champion 2024!
The club championships took place in Stiphouse on Thursday 21, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March.
On Thursday morning, March 21, it was the recreational players' turn first, with George Hendriks winning the men's recreational title and Mieke Wernaart the recreational ladies' title.
Two days later it was the turn of our youth members. It's great to see how much the level of many youth players has increased enormously in one year! Nevertheless, reigning champion Ryan Sanders managed to take the title of Youth Club Champion again this time. He also turned 1e in the junior boys. Liang Deiss became 1e among the cadets and Lars Dirks was the best among the pupils.
On Sunday March 24, 30 players competed for the overall club champion title. After the tournament started at just after eleven, the 2024 club champion was crowned at approximately 5:30 PM. Ben Visser took the senior title for the first time and did so in a very convincing manner. He only lost 1 game in 8 matches! For the ladies, the title went – again – to Carolien van de Kerkhof.
Naturally, the club champions are immortalized on the board with the club champions in Stiphouse.
