On December 19th it was time to close our anniversary year:
The Grand Finale

The maintenance and anniversary teams started transforming our gym into a proper party venue early this morning. The refrigerators were stocked, the snacks were brought out, and the lights were turned on.

We can start!
The evening begins with a reception for fellow clubs, the NTTB, the municipality, and our own club members. There's a convivial atmosphere, and our chairman, William, welcomes everyone.
With a drink in hand, the party room is opened.
Here, brothers Luuk and Stijn are ready with a setup of speakers, lights and a huge turntable.
Meanwhile, the Burgt family and the Mayor of Helmond are standing outside ready for one of the highlights;
The Royal distinction for Frenklin. He has been officially appointed a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
That smile won't leave his face tonight!
Then it's time for the second highlight: a secret AGM to appoint Wilma van Hoof as an honorary member.
Fortunately, this AGM ended quickly and everyone was unanimous:
Of course she deserves this!
As the first female honorary member, she was pleasantly surprised.
After this, Will Wasser and Marieke de Beer were appointed Members of Merit. They, too, didn't see this coming.

The DJs took over again and the polonaise started.
The drinks are flowing, the atmosphere is convivial and the snacks are going down well.

The evening is coming to an end and the last beers are being tapped.
It was a good ending to a great year.
