AvondWielerVierDaagse 2023 a resounding success!

From Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 November, the building was renamed for the occasion
Cycling Palace De Smed in Stiphout held the annual AvondWielerVierDaagse (AW4D).
This year the organization was in the hands of our association and the De Stiphoutse Flea Market Foundation.
The AW4D Stiphout foundation naturally also helped with this. Jo sat on behalf of TTV Stiphout
Berg, Daan van der Burgt, Frenklin van der Burgt, Toine de Greef, Mick van Hoof and Paul Sanders in
the working group. They have put in the necessary hours in the preparation and of course also in the
performance.

A total of 16 teams with 2 riders each competed on 4 exercise bikes on the
components sprint (500 meters), pursuit (750 meters) and the couple race (1000 meters). Also TTV
Stiphout had 2 riders, youth players Ryan Sanders and Geert Sannen, who played for team 'Grevelinck'
came out. They did very well, especially for their first participation, and held another nice one
amount left. The best team was the MFC De Smed team, with Daan Verbakel as the sprint emperor
MFC De Smed and sprint empress became Nina van Oorschot of Van Oorschot Timmerwerken.
For the organizing associations, the goal was, in addition to creating a great
village event, of course also achieving the highest possible yield. That yield
was achieved by attracting as many team sponsors, advertisers,
hall advertising and donations. But also by selling a lot of lottery tickets and raising money
with the auctions via American bidding. Many great prizes could be won, including weekends
away, a vacuum cleaner, laser printer, shopping packages, VIP tickets for Helmond Sport,
dinner vouchers etcetera. Fortunately, many of our members had agreed to come and help on one
or several evenings, because those hands were desperately needed! And with success: in total we have one
amount of €7,777 earned with this event! This is divided 50-50 among TTV Stiphout and
The Stiphout Flea Market.

TTV Stiphout recently purchased a new table tennis robot and new tables. For the robot
nothing was included in the budget, so we can finance it with this money. In addition, have
We also need new bats to use at clinics or table tennis outings. That's where the money goes too
for use.

The Stiphout Flea Market needs the money for a new storage space to store things
save for sale via Marktplaats or the next flea market. Note June 1 and 2, 2024
already in the agenda for the flea market because many volunteers are needed. And every
volunteer on behalf of TTV Stiphout generates a lot of money, because the proceeds from the flea market go
half goes to the associations that provide volunteers.
TTV Stiphout thanks:

  • AW4D Stiphout foundation for allowing us to organize this event and for their indispensable help
  • De Stiphoutse Flea Market Foundation for co-organizing it. It wouldn't have been possible without them!
  • all the sponsors who ensured that we achieved such a high yield
  • all prominent figures who offered wonderful gifts for the American auction
  • Hall center De Smed for the hospitality these days
  • all riders! Because without riders there is no event
  • all volunteers from TTV Stiphout and De Stiphoutse Flea Market: great that you did this!
