On <\/span>Wednesday January 23<\/b> the recreational players played their Club Championships. There were 14 participants. They played, under the watchful eye of tournament leader Mick van Hoof, many sporting and often exciting matches, with Roland Robinson eventually becoming club champion of the recreational players and also the 1<\/span>and<\/span> prize in the men's recreational category. On <\/span>saturday january 26<\/b> it was the turn of the youth members of TTV Stiphout. Tournament leader Han van de Poel had divided the 16 participants into four groups of 4, after which a division was made into a Main and a Consolation round.<\/span><\/p>\nAfter these rounds, cross-finals and placement matches were played, after which the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nfinal followed. This was played by Stijn Smits and Ben Visser (teammates of Stiphout 1). It was super exciting, and the hall with the audience was completely silent. It was completely equal, and in the 5<\/span>and<\/span> game it even became 11-11. Eventually Ben Visser managed to win with 13-11. On <\/span>sunday january 27<\/b> the Club Championships were played for Seniors. There were 20 participants. Participant Frenklin van der Burgt was also the tournament director. That probably cost him a lot of attention \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/p>\nIt started with 4 groups of 3 and 2 groups of 4. The numbers 2 of the groups of 3 and the numbers 2 and 3 of the groups of 4 then played an intermediate round. The winners of this went to the main round, as did the winners of the groups. The losers came in the consolation round. Then 2 pentathlons were played in the main round and 2 pentathlons in the consolation round. The cross finals in the main round were Carlo Seelen against Peter Bruurs and Mick van Hoof against Youth Club Champion Ben Visser. Peter and Mick won their matches, so the final was known. Many beautiful rallies were played between attacker Peter and defender Mick. Eventually Peter Bruurs won the title of Club Champion for the first time and replaced Frenklin, who had won the previous 2 editions.
